Siegfried Line

This dragon's teeth barrier was part of the German Westwall (Siegfried Line) and is built during the wall's construction phase called Aachen Saar in 1939. The teeth go on and on through the forest. Environmentalists like them as they prevent the land from being used and give animals protection.

The Dragon's Teeth were so cool - covered in moss marching through the forest. I wanted to capture the green moss on the teeth and their march into the distance. No tripod and a cloudy day so I set a very high ISO and the minimum shutter speed to get as much light as I could. I took several shots trying to get the right offset for the teeth in the background. I liked this one as the tooth near us is in sharp focus and the background has a path for the eye.
