At the river's edge in Katmai National Park we were shooting a group of 6 bears fishing on the other side of the river. They would rush into the river chasing a salmon and then return to the bank to eat. One big bear waited on the bank and simply stole the fish from the smaller bears. This bear caught his fish and kept going cross the river to our side to avoid the bigger bear.
On our side it was easy to snap a picture of him and his catch. He eyed us but moved into the brush without getting too close. My ISO was high as we were shooting the fast action on the other side of the river. I should have dropped it and the shutter speed for the bear/fish portrait. Next time...
