Livingston Island
Livingston Island, Antarctica - 03 Jan 2026 See on Google Maps
As we approached Half Moon Island we passed Livingston Island, which is right much larger and next to Half Moon Island. I was struck by the high peaks covered in snow. There was little direct light due to clouds overhead. It looks like a lot of snow. I took several pictures of Livingston Island while we arrived - during my visit to Half Moon Island - and then as our ship left the area. This photograph was taken from the ship as we approached the islands.
I had a good mid range apaturture and at ISO 100 was able to reach out with 500mm and a fast speed.
