New Blossom

A favorite place to prowl for pictures - the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden. Early in the morning the light is beautiful and the purple prickly pear makes a great subject. Here a small blossom is just beginning to grow. This was handheld so a fast shutter speed and high ISO. To close in on the small blossom I zoomed to 500mm.
